First Swim of the Summer

Today I decided that it was time to break out the baby pool and have a little backyard water fun. The girls loved splashing in the water and climbing in and out of the pool.  Brooklyn is definitely my little water baby.  She could have stayed in there for hours!  After they finished swimming, they enjoyed a nice cold treat.  I know they are deprived....they had never had popsicles before!

Children's Museum

Sunday we made a trip to The Woodlands to have lunch with my parents and take the girls to the Children's Museum. There were so many things for them to do and they had a great time. Mommy took lots and lots of pictures!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Saturday was my 28th birthday. I am getting closer and closer to 30! It was a great day spent with family. My MIL and I have the same birthday and there isn't anyone I would rather share it with! Here are some pics from the big day. The girls really wanted to help me open presents. I must admit that I was pretty spoiled this year.....I got everything I wanted and more!

We made these stepping stones for Dodie's flowerbeds. I thought they turned out super cute. I want to make some for me now!

Backyard Fun

Brian informed me last nite that I am slacking on my blogging. Yes, I knew this, but things have been pretty low key around here the last week or two. The girls had a bout of the stomach bug and let's just say we went through lots of diapers! We have been spending lots of time outside enjoying the last few days of spring before it gets blistering hot. The girls have a new sandbox and a new slide that they love to play on. They also like sitting at their table in the playroom. I guess they feel like big girls because they are finally big enough to use it. Yesterday they ate their afternoon snack at the table and this morning they played with their cars. Brooklyn has mastered the art of climbing onto the table and loves to sit up there and taunt her sisters. So get ready for lots of pics and I hope that they will make up for my absence!

Happy Belated Mother's Day!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. Mine was great but it was bittersweet. We had a weekend of travel and a weekend of goodbyes. Saturday nite we went to a party for Matt and Kelly as they are getting ready to leave for the Peace Corp. We will miss them so much! Sunday was spent with family and friends and the girls got to play with their cousins. Yesterday we said goodbye to Brian's great aunt Mary as she has gone to heaven to be with Jesus. She had the sweetest soul and the biggest heart and will forever be remembered. Needless to say, we are all exhausted and happy to be home!

I am so lucky to be the mom of these three little girls!

Weekend Recap

This weekend I got a very special treat and early Mother's Day present with a get away to Houston with my sweet husband. Saturday nite we went a wedding of one of Brian's high school buds and then Sunday he took me shopping at The Galleria and The Woodlands Mall. I got to eat at two of my all time favorite restaurants, PF Changs and The Cheesecake Factory. So yummy! We ended the weekend at the Kenny Chesney concert at the Woodlands Pavillion.

I. heart. Kenny. Chesney.

Anyways, it was a wonderful weekend and only the second time we have left the girls in their sixteen months of life. Thanks to my parents for staying with them so we could get a little r&r!

Brian and I have seen Kenny four out of the past six summers. We missed last summer because I don't think I would leave the girls yet and had tickets to see him the summer before but I ended up having one of my IVF procedures during the concert! He is the best performer EVER. Yes, I have a small obsession :) Last nite, Kenny even sang the song Brian and I danced to at our wedding, Me and You. It totally made my nite!

Of course, I could not wait to get home and see the girls. Here are some pics of how I found them this morning as I was in their closet picking out something for them to wear. They are such good helpers!
(I took the pictures on my cell phone so I'm sorry for the poor quality)
