1st Dance Recital

I have finally gone through all of our Disney pics and will get them posted SOON!  Before I do, I wanted to blog about the girls' first dance recital.  The day after we got back from our trip, the girls had their first dance recital.  As a mom, this is something I have looked forward to for a long time.  I grew up dancing when I was little and love that the girls have started dancing as well.  They have been taking tap and ballet since August.  I really had no idea how they would do at the recital with the lights, stage and audience but they were superstars!  They had all their moves down and were absolutely precious.

We had special Easter celebrating our risen Savior.  We spent the day with Brian's family and had brunch and hunted eggs.  I didn't get a picture of the girls Easter baskets with all their loot but they got lots of good stuff.  The Easter bunny must have known we were going to Disney World because he brought lots of Minnie
goodies :)

The girls had four egg hunts this year.  This one was at church, one with their class and two with family.  Somehow we ended up with an insane amount of candy.  It was worse than Halloween!

The Houston Livestock Show

Well, here we are again. Yes, it has been nearly two months with out a post. What can I say? We just returned from an awesome trip to Disney World so I am trying to get the blog all caught up so I can post some of the hundreds of pictures we took.

Every year, we take the girls to the Houston Livestock Show. They have a huge kids area set up complete with petting zoo and carnival. The girls have a great time!

Daddy/Daughter Dance 2012

Our local Children's Museum has a Daddy/Daughter Dance every year around Valentines Day. Last year was the girls' first year to go and they had a blast! They talked about it for months afterward. There is some dancing, but it is mainly dinner, crafts and games. I had so much fun spending the afternoon getting ready with the girls and curling their hair, doing manicures and pedicures. Dodie came over to help too. When it came time to leave for the dance, there were torrential down pours but luckily Brian and the girls made it to the dance and were safe and sound. However, me and the dogs spent much of the evening in the pantry listening to the news because there was a tornado very close to our house. So much for my nice relaxing evening alone!

Great Wolf Lodge

I still have so much to catch up on! While the girls were out of school for winter break, we met up with our cousins, Jackson and Grant, and Marshall and Leah. We headed up to Great Wolf Lodge to bust out of the winter blues! It was a little weird to put on a swim suit in December but we all had so much fun! This was our first trip to Great Wolf Lodge and I was really impressed. Everything was catered to kids and the girls can't wait to go back.
