Zoo Trip

Yesterday we took a trip to the Waco Zoo with our cousins, Jackson, Mason, and Hudson. I don't know how many animals the girls really saw but they had a great time being outside and playing with the boys. Here are some pics from our day.

One of the highlites of our day....meeting another set of triplets! Three boys born two days before the girls. How fun!

16 months old!

The girls are 16 months old as of Friday. It is so hard to believe! Time is going by so fast! The girls are super busy all the time and LOVE to be outside. We have started going to the park often and they love it. Caitlyn's favorite is the swings, Brooklyn likes the slide, and Addyson likes to dig in the rocks. We also play outside on the driveway quite a bit. The girls are good about minding me and staying away from the street. Here are some pics of our recent playtime.

Addy and the Hippo

Addyson has a hippo that she has had since she was born. Actually, all of the girls have one and they have always slept in their bed with them but recently Addyson has developed a real attachement to her hippo. She takes him EVERYWHERE. It is really cute to watch her love on him and it is nice because I can use hippo to calm her down when she is upset. Here are a few action shots of Addyson and the hippo. I think she is going to be quite the little mommy!

Naptime.....the orange one is a hippo too but she isn't quite as attached to him. Probably because he is too heavy for her to carry around. And yes, that is a bottle of ketchup in her pack-n-play!

Bluebonnets

We took the girls for our second attempt to get some pics of them in the bluebonnets. The first time it was too sunny and they were squinting in all of the pictures. This time we got a few good individual shots except we could not keep Brooklyn's hands out of her mouth. Poor thing is getting both of her first molars right now. It is almost impossible to get a good group shot these days. The girls are so busy, you can't keep them still longer for five seconds! All in all, I was pretty happy with what we got, considering our subjects :) I don't know if picture taking is going to get better or worse as they get older???

Egg Hunt

Get ready for lots of pictures! The girls had their first ever Easter egg hunt today at our church Easter Event. After they figured out what they were supposed to do, they really got into it. The eggs were empty but they didn't care. It was a new adventure for them. The only bad thing was it was super windy! Brooklyn especially enjoyed hunting for eggs.

Pigtails

Yes, this is a sad attempt but I have long awaited the day I could fix my daughters' hair all cute. Caitlyn sat perfectly still and let me put pigtails in her hair the other day. I thought it looked pretty cute but it lasted all of five minutes before she pulled it out. They won't leave anything I put in their hair right now.....I have to work on these girls!
