Port Aransas 2009

We just returned from our beach vacation.  It was so nice to get away for a few days and the girls absolutely loved the beach!  They had a great time playing with their cousins, Mason and Hudson, aka "Hudsee" and "Hud, Hud" to the girls.  The girls have a slight obsession with him! We spent our time playing at the beach, swimming in the pool, and just relaxing.  We can't wait to take another trip to the beach next summer!

We took a trip to the aquarium in Corpus one day and got to see lots of fish.  I think the girls liked this one better than the one in Houston.

Today the girls are 20 months old! I can't believe that soon they will be turning two! The girls are really into dolls these days and love to play "mommy." Elmo has very high status in our house! I tried to take some pictures of the girls in mommy mode. I also got some cute pictures of them with their various accessories acting silly after church yesterday. They love necklaces, sunglasses, and purses. I wonder where they get that from? :)

Fun-filled weekend: Part 2

After our trip to the zoo, we hit up the aquarium. I don't think the girls were as crazy about the fish as they were about all the zoo animals but they had a good time and they got to ride another carousel! They also got to touch a baby sting ray! My aunt was visiting from Colorado and it was so good to see her. We packed a lot of activities into three days but the girls did great.

Fun-filled weekend: Part 1

We spent the weekend in Houston visiting with my family. We took the girls to the zoo and the aquarium while we were there. They have never ridden a carousel before and they got to ride two in one day! We had a great time and enjoyed getting away for a few days. These are some pics from our trip to the zoo.

Entertainment

Last week was much quieter than our week before.  The girls took turns running fever and feeling puny.  This along with some bad weather, made for alot of time inside.  I tried to come up with some entertainment for the girls to help with the long days indoors.  

First we practiced wearing our sunglasses in preparation for our trip to the beach in a few weeks. 

 

 

Then we played with play-doh but it is so tempting to taste!  After Addyson tried to eat half the can, we had to put it up. 

The girls came up with this one all on their own and it seemed to be much more entertaining then any of my ideas!  

 Yes, they decided the dog kennel was lots of fun!
